LP UP Teacher Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023.
The Category-wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned below:
Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
OBC/ MOBC: 43 years
SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
Persons with Disability (PwD): 50 years
Ex-Servicemen: 42 years

Small Family Norms:
According to the government's policy on small family norms, no one who has more than two living children as of or after January 1, 2021 from a single or multiple partners may be appointed.
Medium of Instruction:
Language of Instruction: The candidate's Language-I score on the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) must coincide with the school where they desire to apply. For instance, an applicant must have Assamese as Language-I in the Assam TET if they want to apply to a school where the language of instruction is Assamese.
Qualification:
Post-wise educational qualifications for each posts are as mentioned below .
Assistant Teacher (LP)
Qualification:
A 2-year Elementary Education Diploma (or its equivalent) with at least a 50% average is required for Senior Secondary, or its equivalent. OR
According to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% of the recommended grade point average and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) are both required. OR
A 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree with at least a 50% average from Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) OR
At least 50% in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and a 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
TET Qualification: Passed in Assam TET for LPS, conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.
Assistant Teacher (UP)
Qualification:
Graduate with a 2-year Elementary Education Diploma, a B. Ed., a D. Ed. (Special Education), or a B. Ed. (Special Education) from a university recognized by the UGC.
TET certification: Assam passed The Assam Elementary Education Department held a TET for the UPS.
Science Teacher (UP)
Qualification:
B. Sc. from a university with UGC recognition and a 2-year Elementary Education Diploma, B. Ed., D. Ed. (Special Education), or B. Ed. (Special Education) are also acceptable credentials.
TET Qualification:
passed the Assam Elementary Education Department's TET for UPS (Science and Mathematics).
NIOS (ODL) Course: For the purposes of this recruitment procedure, the candidate who successfully completed the 18-month D. El. Ed. course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated on an equal footing with the other candidates who successfully completed the 2-year course.

By accessing the Official DEE Assam Recruitment Portal, interested and qualified individuals may submit an online application for these positions. Candidates can apply for the Assam TET Teacher Vacancy by following the instructions below.

Select "Online Application Form" and then "Register Now" to finish the registration procedure.
Fill out all of your personal and educational information in the following stage, then upload any required papers.
Submit the form at the end.
The candidates will receive a Unique Number after submitting their online applications. They should maintain a printout of this Unique Number for their records.
Candidates should exercise caution when submitting their online applications because they must be filed in relation to a specific Assam Roll Number.

The following documents should be color-scanning and uploaded while applying online.
2 HSLC Admit Card.
3 HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
4 Degree Mark-sheet and Certificate.
5 Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
6 DEIEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate
7 Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
8 Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
9 Certificate NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented state at National Level).
10 Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
11 Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
12 Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
